Weather forecasts issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warn of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning in Arunachal Pradesh, predicting such conditions until June 6. While heavy rainfall is anticipated every day until June 5, the IMD predicts only heavy rain on June 5 and 6.

This week, the IMD issued a multi-hazard weather alert in many parts of the country, including various regions in the northeast such as Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, Odisha, and Telangana.

Apart from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, some regions like Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, as well as Himachal Pradesh, Konkan (Goa), Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Chhattisgarh, will experience thunderstorms with lightning alone.

Stay vigilant during the monsoon season, as authorities encourage people to adhere to advisories and be prepared for potential evacuations if conditions worsen. Government officials are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to provide relief and rescue efforts if needed.
