Seven individuals lost their lives in a landslide on the National Highway in the Seppa West assembly constituency of Arunachal Pradesh, as confirmed by Home Minister Mama Natung on Saturday.
Natung expressed his condolences for the calamity that occurred between Bana village and the Seppa area. He advised caution for travellers, suggesting they avoid night-time journeys during the monsoon season. Weather forecasts issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warn of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning in Arunachal Pradesh, predicting such conditions until June 6. While heavy rainfall is anticipated every day until June 5, the IMD predicts only heavy rain on June 5 and 6.
