Deadly Illinois crash kills mother of two on icy Gurnee roads

Unfortunately, Allen succumbed to her injuries at the scene, with the Lake County Coroner's Office later confirming she died from blunt force injuries. Allen's 5-year-old son and 8-month-old daughter were also in the car and were injured in the crash. They, along with the driver of the Suburban whose identity was not specified, were taken to area hospitals. Their current conditions remain unknown as of now.
