Israel has been on the receiving end of an unprecedented large-scale attack from Iran, targeting various regions across the country. A series of rocket and drone attacks have left a trail of destruction in their wake.

Recent reports show that the death toll from these attacks has risen to 24 civilians, with over hundreds injured. These casualties are primarily concentrated around major cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa.

The Fatalities and Injuries

According to the latest updates, by June 17, 2025, approximately 350 missiles had been launched, leading to the deaths of 24 civilians and hundreds of injuries [1].

For instance, on June 14, Magen David Adom reported 63 injuries from Iranian ballistic missile strikes, with one death confirmed [1]. On the same day, reports indicated three Israelis killed and 172 injured overall, including five fatalities across northern Israel due to missile strikes [1].

As the attacks continued, on June 15, nine civilians were killed and nearly 200 wounded in central Bat Yam. Another attack in Rehovot wounded 42 people [1].

On June 16, the death toll after missile attacks in Haifa and Tel Aviv reached eight, with around 100 injured [1]. This brings the total number of deaths from these attacks to 24 civilians across various cities in Israel.

The Material Damage

The missile attacks have also caused significant material damage. In Tel Aviv, a modern residential building was seriously damaged, with fires and smoke, neighboring buildings were left with shattered windows and metal debris, and damage was reported at the Israeli defense ministry complex [1].

In addition, attacks in Ramat Gan resulted in the destruction of nine buildings and the damage of hundreds more, displacing about 100 residents [1].

The Aftermath

The missile barrage has forced tens of thousands of Israelis to flee their homes. More than 2,000 Israelis are now homeless due to the extensive destruction in Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva as a result of missile strikes breaching Israel’s Iron Dome defense system [2].
