Unsolved Mystery in Alt-Mölln: The Killing That Remains a Puzzle
Over a year ago, the lifeless body of a 35-year-old man was unearthed on a parcel of land in Alt-Mölln, a district in Herzogtum Lauenburg. The central question that has yet to be answered: who took his life? "The investigation into this heinous act continues," explained Jens Buscher, spokesperson for the Lübeck Public Prosecutor's Office. "I cannot predict when we might reach a conclusion."
On December 12, 2022, this unfortunate individual from Ratzeburg was discovered on the grounds of a refugee shelter. Shortly thereafter, two men, ages 20 and 36, were detained under heightened suspicion. Initially, investigators surmised it was plausible that the culprit was from the deceased's family circle.
However, the supposition against these two suspects could not be substantiated, informs Buscher. Consequently, the warrants they had faced were subsequently rescinded. None other suspects have been identified since then, Buscher reported. "[Nevertheless,] the investigation continues with unwavering commitment," he asserted.
