Dead body footage involving D4vd discovered in Tesla re-emerges, prompting a questioning of whether his live stream can be erased
In a shocking turn of events, singer David Anthony Burke, better known by his stage name D4vd, has found himself at the centre of a tragic investigation. The popular artist, who was in the midst of a national tour, has halted all performances and returned to Los Angeles following a gruesome discovery.
On September 8, workers at a tow yard in Los Angeles detected an eerie odour coming from a Tesla registered to Burke. Upon investigation, the remains of a 15-year-old girl, identified as Celeste Rivas, who has been missing for over a year, were found inside the vehicle.
The music industry was left stunned as it emerged that Rivas' family had described her relationship with Burke as "worrying." An eerie connection between the two was the resurfaced Twitch stream, which showed Burke and the girl, who appears to be Rivas, sitting together.
Burke and Rivas shared a unique bond, as they both had matching tattoos that read "Shhh" on their right index fingers. The song "Oh, Celeste," an unreleased track, possibly penned by D4vd, has been making waves online, with references to him in fan forums.
In the wake of this tragedy, the music label Interscope has stopped its collaboration with Burke while the probe remains ongoing. Two of his scheduled performances in San Francisco and Los Angeles have been canceled, and so have Burke's performances at the Roundhouse in London on October 20 and 21.
The future of his worldwide tour remains uncertain, with investigators turning their attention to a home in Hollywood Hills, which Burke had reportedly once rented. The coroners have listed Rivas' cause of death as "deferred."
Burke, who was on a world tour when the gruesome discovery was made inside his Tesla, has been cooperating with investigators. Meanwhile, Rivas' family have been left "devastated" by her death. They have set up a GoFundMe page to support the family during this difficult time.
In a surprising twist, Burke's deluxe version of his Withered album, scheduled to hit the shelves on September 19, has been shelved. The singer, who had asked moderators if videos could be deleted in the Twitch stream, has returned to Los Angeles to face the music.
As the investigation continues, the music world waits with bated breath, hoping for clarity and justice in this tragic case.
