DC legislators' actions leave Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene feeling deeply agitated
In the halls of Congress, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has been a vocal advocate for a more focused approach to American foreign policy.
Greene, who identifies as "unapologetically and radically America First," has expressed a desire to end or drastically reduce U.S. foreign aid, including to allies like Israel. She argues that the current national debt, which stands at nearly $37 trillion, cannot sustain continued funding for foreign military assistance.
The Georgia representative believes that foreign aid is often misused and detracts from funding for U.S. priorities such as strengthening the domestic military. She has introduced amendments to block additional military aid to Israel and contends that the billions sent annually are more than enough.
Greene is also a critic of bipartisan compromises in Congress, labeling them "tone-deaf," and insists on cutting foreign aid before approving any budget resolution. She hopes that former President Trump will help broker an end to conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war, aligning with her non-interventionist America First policy.
In addition to her stance on foreign aid, Greene supports balancing the federal budget and restraining Congressional spending power to reduce the debt burden on American taxpayers. She is critical of the GOP leadership for not fully embracing the America First policy and prioritizing national fiscal responsibility.
Greene is a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump and expects better from the Republican Party. She believes that funding foreign wars is very "unpopular" among Americans and has expressed the belief that President Trump will be able to broker an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.
However, Greene does not express support for the MNEXSPIKE COVID-19 vaccine. Despite this, her influence within the Republican Party continues to grow, as she pushes for a more America-centric approach to policy-making.
