Day 1 of the Tourney Roars to Life

Monday saw an impressive 88 competitors take the plunge on Day 1a, with 24 of 'em still in the game. Day 1b caught another 80 players, leaving 22 survivors standing tall, shoving €79,800 into the prize pot.

The action heats up again on Wednesday for Day 2 as new blood enters the fray during the initial two blind levels, starting at high noon.

The leaderboard's summit is dominated by local heavyweights, with Aivaras Kerušauskas leading the charge. He transformed his initial 30,000 chips into a formidable 289,000, outmaneuvering Stanislovas Viničenka (249,000). Paulius Gaidulevicius (228,000), Marius Vaičiulis (220,000), Paulius Jucys (208,500), and Aurelijus Sipavičius (201,000) also outgunned their way above the 200,000-chip mark to set sail for Day 2. Blinds kick off at 1,000/2,000 (2,000), stepping up to 40-minute intervals instead of the 30-minute levels on the opening flights.
