Getting the day started, we had a smaller tournament with INR 550 buy-in, resulting in 696 entrants. With a prize pool of INR 3.48 Lakhs, 47 players made it in the money, with a minimum cash of INR 1,983. The winner, Naren Purohit aka 'IMUNAGI', claimed the title after a heads-up deal with 'thepokerbrat'.
IOPC Event #37 Afternoon Hi-Fi INR 6 Lakhs GTD
Up next was the Afternoon Hi-Fi tournament, with INR 1,100 buy-in and 594 entrants. The prize pool stood at INR 3,420, with the minimum cash of INR 1,567. Dramatic action unfolded in level 41 when 'its my turn' held pocket Fives against 'propernit' with pocket Kings. The board ran 4s 6h 3h 7c Jc, and 'its my turn' tossed over his straight 7-3 to eliminate 'propernit' in the runner-up position.
IOPC Event #38 INR 4 Lakhs GTD
The third tournament of the day had a buy-in of INR 770, attracting 574 players. In total, the prize pool amounted to INR 3,349, with a minimum cash of INR 2,772 given to the top finisher. 'CYCLONE 1121' emerged victorious, striking a heads-up deal and placing 'ip007' in the runner-up spot.
IOPC Event #39 Ultron INR 25 Lakhs GTD
The feature tournament Ultron assures INR 25 Lakhs in prizes. With 816 entries, the guaranteed amount was far surpassed, resulting in a prize pool of INR 32.64 Lakhs. The top 71 places were rewarded, with a minimum cash of INR 12,403. Yowan Patel aka 'PAPITO' stood tall, defeating 'GODSENT' following a heads-up deal to claim the title.
Yowan Patel shared his thoughts on his victory, saying, "It was a good grind, and I ran good at times; all my flips held."
IOPC Event #40 Highroller INR 55 Lakhs GTD
To end the day, we witnessed the final and biggest guaranteed tournament, the Highroller INR 55 Lakhs GTD, with a buy-in of INR 27,500. With 333 players, the prize pool ballooned to INR 83.25 Lakhs. The top 31 places bagged a share of the prize pool and a minimum cash of INR 73,260. Manoj Pentakota aka 'MRBLUE', fresh off a victory on Wednesday's G.O.A on PokerBaazi, remained undefeated, sending away 'Zenos' in heads-up after his Ace held against Pentakota's pair of Queens.
Pentakota said, "Heads-up was deep and really tough. Also, it was fun to play with one of the top regs."
