Dax sees an investigation open after Charline Pradeau's assault
In a shocking turn of events, an investigation has been opened following a video showing a man lifting the skirt of influencer Charline Pradeau during the Dax festivities. The incident, which occurred in a bar between August 13 and 17, has caused a stir and sparked concerns about harassment and inappropriate behaviour.
The video, which has been circulating for several days, is accompanied by the message: "You just want to have fun, but once again it's not possible because of men." The video shows Charline Pradeau standing on a bench, with a man in a white shirt extending his left arm and lifting her skirt. Visibly upset, Charline Pradeau continues to dance while a woman covers the bottom of her skirt with a fan.
The man in question has not responded to contact attempts, and his identity remains unconfirmed by authorities. However, many internet users believe him to be an former international rugby player and chronicler for Canal+ for about ten years, named Cédric Heymans. Libération cannot confirm this information at this time.
Charline Pradeau has stated that the person who committed the act contacted her to apologise, but she chose not to respond. The incident has caused her to express fear of suffering violence outside and leaving her house due to violent social pressure. She has also stated that she will be taking legal proceedings against her harassers.
Canal+, however, has not made any comments regarding the case. The Dax prosecutor's office has stated that the facts are qualifiable as sexist offenses, potentially exposing the perpetrator to a fine of 1,500€. The investigation is ongoing, and the results are pending.
The incident has also led to a wave of cyberbullying on social media, with Charline Pradeau being the target of abusive comments and messages. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for respect and consent in all interactions, and the consequences of inappropriate behaviour.
As the investigation continues, it is hoped that justice will be served and that this incident will lead to a broader discussion about harassment and the importance of consent in society.
