David Byrne performs "Psycho Killer" by Talking Heads for the first time in 19 years, marking the beginning of his 2025 tour.
David Byrne, the legendary musician and former frontman of Talking Heads, has embarked on a solo tour that began on September 16 in Pittsburgh. This extensive tour will take Byrne across North America through December, followed by a stint in the UK and Europe until March.
The tour schedule, which can be found online, includes a list of dates for each region. Fans can get their tickets for Byrne's tour dates through the official website.
Byrne's performances have been captivating audiences with a mix of Talking Heads classics and his own solo tracks. During his tour, he has played hits like 'Heaven', 'And She Was', 'Houses In Motion', 'Once In A Lifetime', and 'Burning Down The House'. Among his solo tracks, Byrne performed 'Everybody Laughs', 'What Is The Reason For It?', and 'Like Humans Do'.
One standout moment from the tour was the live debut of 'Don't Be Like That', 'I Met The Buddha At A Downtown Party', and 'My Apartment Is My Friend'. Byrne also surprised fans by performing Talking Heads' 'Psycho Killer' for the first time in 19 years. The acoustic performance, which featured Byrne wearing blue overalls and being backed by dancers, has been shared online.
In a surprising turn of events, the members of Talking Heads rejected an offer of $80million from Live Nation to get back on the road. Despite this, the band has consistently denied rumors of a full-blown comeback for years now.
As the tour continues, Byrne has also covered Paramore's 'Hard Times' live for the first time. The musician has most recently been announced for Coachella 2026, where fans can expect another unforgettable performance.
Following the completion of his solo North American tour at the end of December 2025, Byrne will next tour Australia and New Zealand in January 2026 with his "Who Is The Sky?" tour. The tour will include shows in cities such as Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.
