In a thrilling two-frame roll-off on August 9, 2025, Jules Pedrahas from the USBC–Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba) emerged victorious in the mixed classified masters finals of the 17th Datba Kadayawan Open Championships. Pedrahas secured the title with a close 28–26 victory over Crystal Chavez, a standout bowler from the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).

The finals took place at the SM Lanang Bowling Center. Bowling legend Rafael "Paeng" Nepomuceno, Datba president Rameses Tancontian, and Philippine Bowling Federation, Inc. (PBFI) secretary-general Gina Avecilla personally awarded the prizes to the winners.

Pedrahas received a champion’s trophy and ₱50,000 in prize money, while Chavez took home ₱25,000 for her strong second-place finish. Datba's Chad Tancontian claimed second place in the mixed classified singles event and received ₱12,000.

In a separate event, Bam Tongo won the mixed masters title against Crystal Chavez, securing ₱60,000. Sugbu's Joma Avila secured third place in the mixed masters and third place in the mixed classified singles event, earning ₱12,000 and ₱6,000 respectively. Avila also finished in fifth place in the mixed masters and received ₱3,000.

It's worth noting that Crystal Chavez is a decorated bowler and a bank employee. Pedrahas and Chavez ended the eight-game series in the mixed classified masters finals with an identical 200 average, but a crucial spare missed by Chavez in the second frame of the roll-off may have influenced the outcome.

The championship was a closely contested event, with the finals deciding the winners in a tense two-frame roll-off. The 17th Datba Kadayawan Open Championships were indeed a memorable event for all the participants and spectators.
