Casually strolling through Paris, one might stumble upon an art gallery showcasing pieces with strong anti-war messages. Hidden among this sea of artistic bliss is Jelisaweta Kriwonogich, a woman rumored to be the illegitimate daughter of Vladimir Putin.

In Moscow, it's whispered that this mysterious woman is 22 years old and maintains a low profile. She's said to have lived in Paris since before the Ukraine conflict, following her studies in art and cultural management. In France, she prefers the pseudonym Putin's supposed daughter: Jelisaweta Rudnowa. She's also known by the name Luiza Rudnowa, and numerous rumors suggest she collaborates with Ukrainian and Russian artists now living in exile.

Russian artist Nastja Rodionowa was the one to break this secret. She revealed on Facebook that Rudnowa curates exhibitions at a gallery in Paris, focusing on anti-war art and more. The gallery regularly showcases Russian and Ukrainian talents. Rodionowa, herself an exile from Russia since the 2022 invasion, made headlines with this revelation.

She acknowledges that Rudnowa deserves the presumption of innocence. But she also raises a valid point: "One must know who they're dealing with, and decide whether they can live with it." For Rodionowa, tolerating someone from a family that allegedly benefits from Putin's regime being in contact with war victims is unacceptable.

Despite her alleged connection to Putin, Rudnowa doesn't appear on the gallery's official website. Her social media profiles have been set to private or deleted, making her whereabouts unclear. The gallery's director, Dimitri Dolinski, of the association that owns the gallery, stated to "The Times": "We cannot confirm whether she is Putin's daughter or not. One might look like Putin, but so do 100,000 other people. I haven't seen a DNA test to confirm it."

Even if Rudnowa were indeed Putin's daughter, Dolinski insists it would not sway their professional judgement. Rudnowa has proven herself as a capable organizer of exhibitions and supporter of artists.

Russian media reports assert that Kriwonogich would be the result of a romantic liaison between Putin and a former cleaning woman, Swetlana Kriwonogich, from St. Petersburg. Her mother is now reportedly one of the wealthiest women in Russia, amassing her fortune through alleged Putin favoritism. Co-owner of the state bank Rossiya, she was sanctioned by Western countries following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Formally, the Kremlin denies any familial ties between Kriwonogich and Putin. Rumors also circulate about Putin's association with former rhythmic gymnast Alina Kabajewa, although these stories remain unproven as well.
