Berlin's Bachelor "Felix Stein" Finds Dating Scene Akin to a Nightmare - Dating Scene in Berlin, According to Bachelor Felix Stein, to be described as "quite dreadful"
Berlin native Felix Stein, one of the two newest cast members of the RTL hit show "The Bachelors," laments the dating culture in the German capital. In an interview with the German Press Agency, he candidly stated, "Berlin is not the best place to find someone. Dating here is a bit of a nightmare!"
Stein shares his frustration with Berlin's elusive commitment[2]. With the city being so large and constantly welcoming newcomers and tourists, the dating landscape becomes more transient, often fostering short-term connections[3]. To add to this, the city is the birthplace of numerous dating apps, which present an overwhelming abundance of choices.
A Family Man on the Pursuit for Love
The father of a son born in 2019, Stein acknowledges his past struggles with commitment but asserts that he's moved past that phase in recent years. Seeking a change and possibly a life partner, he turned to the RTL dating show "The Bachelors" for help in finding his future wife[1]. Stein's son's mother is Avelina Boateng, the sister of A professional soccer player called Jérôme Boateng.
Joining Stein in the new season of the show is Cologne insurance specialist Martin Braun, who will also embark on a quest for love in South Africa[4]. The first episode of the new season is set to air on RTL on Wednesday, June 18 at 8:15 PM, with early access available on RTL+.
Originally, the show was called "The Bachelor," but the switch to plural possession signifies a change in format for the beloved dating series[5].

I'm not going to be able to find a long-term relationship in this city, given the transient dating culture and the overwhelming choices offered by Berlin's numerous dating apps. Even though I'm a celebrity now, participating in 'The Bachelors' seems like my best shot at finding entertainment and pop-culture relevance beyond the show.
