Berlin Love Life Struggles: "Bachelor" Felix Tackles City's Toxic Dating Scene
Berlin Dating Experiences Described as 'Terrible' by Bachelor Felix - Dating experiences in Berlin often deemed as "rough" or "unpleasant"
Felix Stein, one of RTL's new "Bachelors," leveled some harsh words at Germany's capital, critiquing its dating environment. "Berlin ain't no fairy-tale city for finding someone. The dating scene here's downright horrific," the 32-year-old Berlin local confessed to the German Press Agency.
He attributes Berlin's problematic dating environment to an overwhelming lack of dedication. "I reckon it's all 'cause the city's ginormous and there's a constant flow of individuals comin' and goin', plus there's a whole lotta tourists roamin' about," the photographer expounds. "Datin' apps started right 'ere, in Berlin, and they've only made the pickin's seem endless. Too much choice can be a curse, ya know?"
Owning up to past flaws but moving forward
Felix admits even he hasn't escaped the city's uncommitted dating trends. "Sure, there was a spell when I couldn't commit to anyone. But that period's long past for me, and I meant every word," he asserted. Now, he believes the RTL dating show "Die Bachelors" could be the ticket to his happily-ever-after.
Joining Stein in this season-opener are Martin Braun, a Cologne insurance specialist, who's chasing after his perfect partner in the summer sun of South Africa. "Die Bachelors" debuts on RTL on Wednesday (18 June, 8:15 PM), with the first episode available on RTL+.
The double-bachelor concept, which first aired on RTL last year, is now reflected in the show's title change - from "Der Bachelor" to "Die Bachelors."
