Darren Till explains reasons behind Jorge Masvidal's decision to forego a rematch.

Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal, two of the UFC's toughest fighters, were set to face off once again on August 30. However, the much-anticipated rematch did not materialize.

According to reports, Masvidal declined the opportunity due to financial disagreements. Till confirmed that a substantial amount of money was offered to Masvidal to fight him instead of going against Luke Rockhold. But Masvidal believed he was worth more, and since he is no longer in the UFC, negotiations did not progress.

Till, a former UFC welterweight title contender who left the promotion after a series of losses, has now shifted his focus to boxing. He will be facing Luke Rockhold on August 30.

In an interview with Compare.bet, Till expressed respect for Masvidal and acknowledged that the game has changed since their last fight. He also mentioned that if Masvidal wants to fight Rockhold after Till defeats him, then a rematch with Masvidal could happen. But for now, Till is moving on.

Till and Masvidal both enjoy tough fights, and in their previous encounter, Masvidal emerged victorious. Despite the defeat, Till had only good things to say about Masvidal in the interview.

In a surprising turn, Till clarified that he and Masvidal will not argue about the money matter. He indicated that if Masvidal decides not to fight him, they will have to accept his victory.

With the rematch not happening on August 30, Till's focus is now on his boxing career. The future of a potential rematch between Till and Masvidal remains uncertain.
