After 13 Years: SVD Suddenly Parts Ways with Stegmayer - Darmstadt 98 parts ways with Michael Stegmayer after 13 loyal years
SV Darmstadt 98 has ended its long-standing partnership with Michael Stegmayer after 13 years. The club announced an immediate separation, marking the end of his time in various roles. Stegmayer himself described the decision as disappointing but acknowledged the club’s plans to restructure.
Stegmayer first joined Darmstadt in 2012 as a player before moving into off-field positions. Over the years, he worked as team manager and later became head of professional football operations. His departure was confirmed by the club on 13 December 2025.
The split takes effect immediately, with Stegmayer leaving after a significant period at Darmstadt. The club will now proceed with its restructuring plans under Seeger’s leadership. Further changes to the organizational team may follow in the coming weeks.
