Darhan Satybaldy explored the Alatau region.

Almaty's Akim, Darhan Satybaldy, embarked on a working trip to the Alatau District, where he inspected several ongoing projects. The itinerary included the construction of a park in the Karasu district, distribution networks in Boraldai and Rakhat-Madeniet districts, a school in Akbulak district, and the greening of a green zone along Momyshuly Street.

First on the list was the Karasu Lake Park spanning 12,000 square meters. The project comprises landscaping, an amphitheater, an artificial stream, art objects, automatic irrigation, and lighting systems. The Alatau District Akim, Talgat Malybayev, confirmed that the project aims to preserve the natural terrain and improve the ecological state of the coastal zone. The park will feature stairs, parapets, benches, and trash cans, with completion scheduled for July.

During the tour, Satybaldy also assessed the progress of water supply and sewage network construction in Boraldai and Rakhat-Madeniet districts. The projects are progressing as per the planned schedules. In Boraldai, the project involves laying 76 km of engineering networks for nearly 4,000 residents, with completion expected in November 2025. In Rakhat-Madeniet, the project—due for December 10—will provide centralized water supply and sewage to over 14,000 residents, coupled with a children's playground upon residents' request.

Another stopping point was the new 1,500-capacity school in Akbulak district, being built under the "Comfortable School" national project. Construction began in September 2024, and as of now, 90% of the work is complete, with the school set to open at the start of the next academic year. However, during the visit, Satybaldy pointed out quality issues in the work done, requesting improvements to external landscaping and interior finishing of the school.

The final destination was a project to enhance a 4,500 square meter green zone on Momy-shuly Street. The objective is to create a comfortable public space with greenery, paving, small architectural forms, art objects, and lighting. Rest and extracurricular activity zones will also be organized. Work is slated for completion by June this year, with instructions to adhere to the unified design code.

Upon completion of his visits, Satybaldy expressed confidence that all projects would be completed, emphasizing the significance of crafting a welcoming urban environment, particularly in evolving and growing microdistricts. He highlighted the improvement of public spaces, engineering infrastructure development, and modern school construction as pivotal areas of work for Almaty Akimat.

It should be noted that while there have been public reports on Satybaldy’s mandate to oversee infrastructure projects and urban improvements, specific progress or completion dates for the individual projects mentioned—Karasu Lake Park, water supply and sewage works, “Comfortable School,” or green zone improvements on Momyshuly Street—are not yet published in official or media reports.

I expressed my interest in the development of the Karasu Lake Park, which encompasses landscaping, an amphitheater, artificial stream, art objects, automatic irrigation, and lighting systems. As a committed citizen, I am also keeping a close eye on the progress of the water supply and sewage network construction in Boraldai and Rakhat-Madeniet districts, as well as the new school under the "Comfortable School" national project, and the green zone improvements on Momyshuly Street. The political landscape of these infrastructure and public space enhancements has my full support.
