50th Anniversary of Regensburg Utility Company Culminates in Spectacular Ice Gala
Regensburg Utility Company is commemorating its 50-year milestone in 2025 with a series of events, culminating in a captivating ice skating show slated for later this year. Advance ticket sales for the event have already commenced.
Prior to this grand finale, the utility company has hosted various occasions, including family days at the company's pools, an opening day at the East Sports Park, and exhibits focusing on mobility, vehicles, and technology. The ice gala serves as the pinnacle of the anniversary celebrations.
Originally held in 2019, the ice gala had to be postponed due to the pandemic, but it is now set to return to Regensburg for its 17th edition. "The ice gala has always been a favorite for our attendees," says Peter Lautenschlager, Donau-Arena manager, adding a unique aspect to this year’s event: seats on the ice, in addition to the traditional grandstand seating.
The ice spectacle will feature top-tier figure skating and stirring music. Host Daniel Weiss has confirmed the participation of German European champions and vice-world champions Minerva Hase and Nikita Volodin. The scenic performance will also include the 18-piece AUDI Big Band and Eurovision Song Contest alum Max Mutzke.
Tickets for the show can be purchased via Eventim. To celebrate the utility company's 50th anniversary, an extensive contest with enticing prizes is ongoing until the end of 2025. "We aimed to provide affordable ticket prices as we drew the curtain on our 50-year anniversary celebrations for Regensburg Utility Company," shares Manfred Koller, adding that the pricing could also serve as a Christmas gift idea.
