New Video Game Music Series "Next Level with DanTDM" Debuts on Classic FM
Starting this Saturday, 11th January, renowned YouTuber DanTDM will be hosting a new video game music series titled "Next Level with DanTDM" on Classic FM. The series will air weekly on Saturday nights at 9pm GMT and will be available for listening on the Classic FM website, Global Player, and various other platforms.
DanTDM, with over 29 million subscribers on YouTube, is joining the presenting team of Classic FM. A music enthusiast at heart, DanTDM studied music production at university and has worked in the video game industry for the past 15 years. Philip Noyce, the Managing Editor of Classic FM, is excited about DanTDM joining the presenting line-up of their website.
The radio show, "Next Level with DanTDM", will offer listeners a deep dive into melodies from video games, showcasing how classical music enhances the gaming experience. In each episode, DanTDM will share and discuss his favorite video game music tracks, often pointing out the best uses of classical music in titles players may know, blending commentary with curated musical selections.
In the first episode, DanTDM will showcase gaming's most legendary soundtracks including The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy VII, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Street Fighter II, and Minecraft. The series will feature the greatest gaming music, making it a must-listen for video game enthusiasts and classical music lovers alike.
The series will run until Easter, providing listeners with a weekly dose of video game music. Each program will be available on catch-up for seven days on Global Player, the official Classic FM app.
Classic FM has been a significant supporter of the video game music genre since launching the UK's first radio series dedicated to VGM, High Score, in 2017. This new series further cements their commitment to promoting this unique and growing genre.
DanTDM, one of the world's most successful YouTube gamers, with more than 20 billion views across his content online, is expected to welcome VGM fans to Classic FM for the first time. The series will be broadcast every Saturday from 9-10pm on the Classic FM website and Global Player.
