Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has left a lasting impression on the Swedish populace, landing the second spot in trustworthiness among international leaders. Only Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky earned more trust in a Swedish survey conducted by Mediaakademien, a renowned Swedish non-profit organization focusing on media's influence on society.

The survey,held annually by Mediaakademien, questioned 2,509 participants regarding their trust and confidence in various world leaders. A whopping 50% of respondents favored Frederiksen, with 25% expressing "quite a lot of" confidence, and an additional 25% voicing "very great" trust in her leadership.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen ranked third in trust, with 37% expressing trust in her, followed by France's President Emmanuel Macron with 23% of votes.

Regardless of political affiliations, the Swedes displayed nearly identical levels of trust for Frederiksen. 53% of self-proclaimed right-leaning participants and 43% of those solidly on the right expressed faith in her leadership, while the corresponding numbers for the left were 52% and 45%.

In terms of recognition, Frederiksen ranked as the second most recognized leader among European countries, with 92% of respondents aware of who she is – only behind France's President Macron, who boasted 96% name recognition. Surprisingly, the survey found that Putin, Trump, Zelensky, Xi Jinping, Netanyahu, and Erdogan were all highly recognizable among the Swedish public.
