B bark, cycle, and travel in numbers with your Rejsekort app 👫🐶🚴

The Rejsekort app has introduced a slew of new hot features to make traveling together a breeze. Now you can check-in family, pets, and cycles, without a hitch. Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S introduced these changes in a statement, directly in response to high demand from users.

Over 900,000 people are already using the app following its introduction as a gradual replacement for the physical Rejsekort last year. Jens Willars, the company's director of customer services, stated, "Many passengers have long asked for the ability to check in children, friends, dogs or bikes alongside their own ticket. With this new feature, it now takes less than 30 seconds." The updated app lets users check in up to 28 adults for a single journey.

King Frederik and Queen Mary's royal state visit to Finland 🇫🇮

Get ready for a regal experience as King Frederik and Queen Mary embark on a two-day state visit to Finland this Tuesday. This will be only the fourth time in Finland's more than 100-year history that Danish heads of state are making an official visit.

Joining the royals will be several Danish ministers, including Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, Environment Minister Magnus Heunicke, and Civil Security Minister Torsten Schack Pedersen.

During their visit, the royals will meet with the Finnish president, attend diplomatic discussions, and witness the signing of a defense cooperation agreement. While King Frederik and Queen Mary will visit a children's hospital, they'll also tour a civil defense shelter, lay wreaths at Hietaniemi Cemetery, and attend a gala dinner.

The visit continues on the second day with an art exhibition, architecture school tour, a visit to Aalto University, a seminar on green finance, and a tour of Finland's largest naval base. They'll wrap up the visit with a farewell event to close out their two-day visit.

Airspace reopens after minor aircraft mishap at Aarhus Airport 🛫

An aircraft suffered a landing incident at Aarhus Airport on Monday afternoon. The nose wheel gave way upon touch-down, but the three people on board were unharmed. Emergency services and police were promptly on the scene, but the airport's airspace was only affected for about three hours and reopened shortly before 6 pm.

The Danish accident investigation board for transport incidents, Havarikommisionen, has been called to assess the situation. Keep a weather eye on the Danish Aviation Authority or local Aarhus news outlets for further updates.

Danish political landscape shifts as Social Democratic support surges 🌍

With global tension mounting and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen dealing with pressing war and security issues, support for her Social Democratic party is breaking records, according to a recent poll by Voxmeter and the Ritzau news wire.

Shortly after reaching 22.6 percent in the poll, this marks the highest level of support for the party in over a year. The impressive surge may be linked to recent transportation cost increases, average DKK 70 in 2025, or perhaps indicative of the general public's confidence in the government's global crisis management.
