Danish coziness, or Hygge, reaching its peak of saturation
Sure thing, buddy! Let's chat about talented musicians Francesco Wilking and Christopher Annen, the duo behind the EP "Alles was ich je werden wollte."
The industrial outskirts of Ehrenfeld hide a gem of a studio, where they've been preparing for their tour and giving their first interviews - a cosy, intimate space brimming with vintage instruments and state-of-the-art recording equipment, just like their music.
Francesco, a member of Die Höchste Eisenbahn, and Christopher, from AnnenMayKantereit, decided to collaborate without much ball-busting press or glam-sham circus surrounding the project. Their album is a perfect manifestation of that laid-back, nerdy, yet endearing atmosphere, dealing with everyday struggles and everyday joys.
"Alles was ich je werden wollte" is a reflection of their attitude towards life - take things as they come, enjoy the small victories, and don't stress too much. They penned these easy, catchy tunes in a blink of an eye, and yet they're jam-packed with wit and soul. Many songs had the potential to become more elaborate, but they were content with what they had - and so are we!
Jamming together was a fresh change for both musicians, coming from bands that thrive on endless song tweaking. They wrote 6 songs during their initial meeting, and another year later, they reunited to polish the project. Their lead single "Good Enough" embodies the carefree, unpretentious vibe of the album. It's a love letter to self-reflection, and it's a heartwarming reminder that we're already enough just the way we are.
So, buckle up, my friend, and let's indulge in this honey-yellow mood, retreat from the chaos for a while, and embrace the game of life as it is - a timeless, far-out, and enticing adventure!
In this intimate studio, Francesco Wilking and Christopher Annen's music reflects not only their lifestyle but also serves as a platform for entertainment. Their album, "Alles was ich je werden wollte," encapsulates everyday struggles and joys, while the lead single "Good Enough" stands as a testament to a carefree, unpretentious attitude towards life and self-acceptance, making it an engaging piece of music entertainment.
