Breaking: Clash at Maersk Protest Over Israeli Military Equipment

Yeah, give me the deets!

Danish cops nabbed 20 demonstrators outside a rally calling on maritime company Maersk to halt deliveries of military equipment to Israel. Climate activist Greta Thunberg was among the protesters, congregating at Maersk's Copenhagen HQ.

Awkwardly, things got heated when the authorities whipped out the batons and tear gas to scatter the demonstrators, according to local media snaps.

In a video posted on social media, Thunberg yelled, "Maersk must stop all transportation of weapons and weapon components to Israel! They must terminate all contracts and investments aiding Palestine's genocide and occupation."

Maersk confirmed the cargo covered military-related equipment but swore up and down it was just supplies, not weapons or ammo.

The company ladled out this statement to AFP: "These shipments contain military-related equipment and stem from the U.S.-Israeli security cooperation program. The cargo was legit and follows legal guidelines."

A police spokesperson, gonna Scooby-doobie-dooed, "We tried the peaceful talk thingy to get the protesters to clear out, 'cause it's their own damn private spot. But they didn't wanna play ball, so we busted out the rough stuff and kicked 'em off the property."

Thunberg, well-known for the "Fridays for Future" eco-movement, has been making some noise on the Palestine front, joining in on other support protests.
