Danica Patrick concluded June with a meaningful action, and indeed, she's correct in doing so.

Stepping into the final days of Pride Month, it seems the celebrations have been muted this year, right? Even the First Lady and I noticed it during our visit to a Starbucks in Georgia. A diminutive Pride Month sign in the corner of the building was all we found.

"Does that seem odd to you?" I asked.

"Only because places usually go all out for it," she replied.

Perhaps it's due to an executive order or two issued by Trump that toned down the festivities. I can't quite remember the exact orders, but they're tucked away somewhere in his long list of executive orders.

Danica Patrick, the racing legend, recently shared her thoughts on the LGBTQ+ community, Pride Month, and politics via her Instagram feed. A strange mix, you might think, but let's give Danica a round of applause for breaking the mold!

"Nature's rainbows are lovely indeed. On the subject of rainbows, they don't solely represent the LGBTQ+ community, much like the American flag doesn't solely represent the Republican Party," Danica said in her story featuring a picturesque rainbow and her faithful dog.

She's spot on, you know! I'm not here to deride Democrats during Pride Month - not that I ever would! - but it's remarkable how you can identify a Republican these days.

If you see someone displaying an American flag in their yard or donning anything patriotic, chances are they voted for Trump in the last election. It's a clear sign, and it's somewhat unfortunate for the Democrats that it's become such an easy indicator of their supporters. It's the perfect encapsulation of their party, a party that has often been criticized for its divisive nature.

The past week has been a spectacle, watching liberal voices in media and Congress attempting to undermine the narrative that the attack on Iran was a success. It's been nothing short of befuddling to watch them actively root against the American military simply because Donald Trump was the one to order the strike.

Isn't it funny how symbols can be politicized? Danica Patrick seems to think so too, especially when it comes to the rainbow. She argues that Pride Month has monopolized the market for rainbow-related imagery, effectively eliminating its usage by others.

Michael Scott would likely agree. Remember what he said about Joe Camel? "Camel cigarettes made him look like a penis, and now I can't look at a cigarette without thinking of a penis, and vice versa."

Similarly, anything with a rainbow now evokes images of Pride Month, making it off-limits for anyone else to use. Oh well, such is life. Let's enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Take a look at Danica Patrick's Instagram post expressing her thoughts:

  1. The decrease in Pride Month celebrations this year might be due to certain policy-and-legislation and executive orders issued by Trump.
  2. Danica Patrick, a racing legend, shared her thoughts on the LGBTQ+ community, Pride Month, and politics on her Instagram feed, breaking the mold of typical sports figure posts.
  3. Nature's rainbows, according to Danica Patrick, do not solely represent the LGBTQ+ community, just like the American flag does not solely represent the Republican Party.
  4. Symbols, such as rainbows and the American flag, can be politicized, leading to their usage being monopolized by specific events or groups, a point Danica Patrick and Michael Scott both seem to agree upon.
