Dangote Cement rewards top distributors with ₦9 billion and CNG trucks at 2026 gala
Dangote Cement Plc honored its top distributors at the 2026 Awards Night in Lagos, with a total of 1 million in prizes distributed. The event, themed 'Partner for Growth', saw winners receiving cash, SUVs, CNG-powered trucks, and cement containers. The ceremony took place at Eko Convention Centre on Victoria Island, with distributors receiving 9 billion in cash alone, alongside vehicles and equipment. Aliko Dangote used the occasion to outline the company's Vision 2030 plan, aiming for a $100 billion valuation by the end of the decade. The strategy includes expanding cement production to 90 million tonnes annually, with a new 6 million-tonne plant in Itori, Ogun State, focusing on exports. Meanwhile, the firm is upgrading its grinding facility in Côte d’Ivoire, reinforcing its pan-African ambitions. In December 2025, Dangote Cement launched a 1 trillion education fund, supporting over 1.3 million vulnerable Nigerian students. The company also announced plans to convert its entire truck fleet to CNG power by 2027. The awards night highlighted Dangote Cement's growth and investment in distributors, with new plants, a shift to CNG trucks, and a major education fund, pushing ahead with its long-term expansion under the Vision 2030 plan.
