Ben Zucker Absent during Let's Dance Performance - Dance Event Continues amidst Absence of Ben Zucker
Title: Dance On, Let's Dance! Ben Zucker Bids Adieu despite Impressive Show
- *
It's another thrilling night at the Cologne RTL studio for the hit TV show, "Let's Dance," as the Olympian Fabian Hambüchen (37) takes center stage. The gymnast, paired with Anastasia Maruster, received a jaw-dropping score of 10 points from the lead judge, Joachim Llambi, for their Charleston performance. The audience couldn't contain their enthusiasm, rising for a thunderous standing ovation.
"You're making our job incredibly easy," said co-judge Motsi Mabuse, appreciating the outstanding display. The creative and lively performance was too tough for Llambi alone to award his full marks, as Mabuse and the third juror Jorge González each gave 9 points. Nonetheless, Hambüchen and Maruster topped the leaderboard with a total of 28 points.
Zucker, despite elimination, wears a smile
On the flip side, the Cha-Cha-Cha performance by singer Ben Zucker (41) and Malika Dzumaev left the jury less excited, with only 16 points awarded. The third contestant, podcast host selfiesandra (25) and Zsolt Sándor Cseke with their Quickstep also received the same score. Regrettably, this wasn't enough for Zucker to make it through another round.
"I'm not at all surprised by the elimination," the musician admitted, "But I'm still a bit proud of myself." Dzumaev, who won the show last year with Gabriel Kelly, acknowledged the competitive nature of this season's contest.
Battle of the Groups: Who will take the trophy?
Apart from the solo couple dances, the celebrity candidates participated in two group dances, called "Dance Battle," sans their professional partners. The comedic moments added a fun twist to the competition, with team members winning extra points for their performance. Members not a part of the winning team earned a still respectable 8 points. Fans cast additional votes through phone calls.
"I'm a Bavarian Latina!"
The fourth show of this year's season was themed "Summer Vibes." The jury awarded the contestants with generous praise, with Llambi commenting on Diego Pooth's Quickstep with Ekaterina Leonova, saying, "It was a pure pleasure to watch."
Laughter and self-revelations took over as entertainer Marc Eggers let us in on a little secret - he's a lucky man in the same boxer shorts for every show, they're always properly washed, of course. Influencer Paola Maria updated the audience about her recent engagement, while actress Christine Neubauer proclaimed her newfound identity, "I'm a Bavarian Latina!" during her rumba rehearsals.
