In the heart of Europe, American bestselling author Dan Brown unveiled his latest thriller titled "The Secret of Secrets" in the enchanting city of Prague. The event was marked by a meeting with Prague's mayor, Bohuslav Svoboda, and President Petr Pavel, and Brown was even presented with a symbolic key to the city.

Brown's latest novel, set in Prague, features Robert Langdon, a familiar symbol researcher and Harvard professor, embroiled in a dramatic scavenger hunt spanning nearly 800 pages. The story is filled with puzzles, conspiracy theories, and experiments involving phenomena such as clairvoyance and out-of-body experiences.

The inspiration for this captivating tale came after Brown's mother's death from leukemia, leading him to ponder what happens when we die. This contemplation is reflected in the novel's conclusion, where Brown posits that human consciousness survives the body's death in some form.

Brown's success as a thriller writer is evident with the sale of over 250 million books. His latest novel, "The Secret of Secrets", showcases his knack for weaving intricate narratives around real-world locations, with numerous references to Prague's sights, including the castle complex on Hradčany and a Cold War-era underground bunker.

During his visit, Brown expressed his love for Prague, a city he first encountered as a young backpacker with a $5-a-day budget. His connection to the city deepened during the writing of "The Secret of Secrets", as he immersed himself in its history and landmarks.

Brown, who is not a religious person, revealed during the book launch that he is engaged to a woman from the Netherlands, Judith Pietersen. Their relationship began while she was recovering from a shoulder operation at the Browns' home. Pietersen, who was originally hired to train the couple's horse, is significantly younger than Brown.

The German edition of "The Secret of Secrets" was released by Bastei Lübbe about a week and a half ago, and the novel is sure to captivate readers worldwide with its intricate plot, captivating setting, and thought-provoking themes.
