Dak Lak Province enforces strict safety measures ahead of Typhoon No. 13

In response to the impending Typhoon No. 13, Dắk Lắk Province has implemented a series of safety measures to protect its residents, particularly those in coastal areas. The province has issued a ban on fishing boats going to sea and instructed coastal communes to raise public awareness and guide fishermen to safe shelters.

The Provincial Border Guard Command, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Fisheries Sub-Department have been tasked with monitoring weather developments. Meanwhile, educational institutions in coastal communes have been instructed to suspend classes from the afternoon of November 5 through November 7. A delegation from Military Region 5 has also inspected preparedness at Tiên Châu Fishing Port in Tuy An Đông Commune.

The chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant agencies to implement preventive measures and ensure safety for people and properties. The province has organised a school break for pupils and strictly prohibits individuals from staying on boats, at aquaculture farms, or in watchtowers during storms. Leaders of 12 coastal communes and wards have been instructed to inform local residents and urge fishermen to seek safe shelters.

Typhoon No. 13, which has caused devastating damages to the Philippines, is expected to affect several central provinces in Việt Nam. Dắk Lắk Province's proactive measures aim to minimise potential damages and ensure the safety of its residents.
