the spangram is the key to the puzzle. it's a word that specifically reflects the puzzle's theme and spans the entire board, either vertically or horizontally (hence the name). when you find the spangram, it will highlight in yellow. cracking the spangram usually makes the rest of the puzzle a piece of cake.
words in Strands can run any direction (up, down, left, right, and diagonal), and you'll only use each letter once. the solution is unique – there's only one correct answer. once you correctly identify a word, it will light up in blue.
