Cyprus Discussion 2025: Cyprus Acting as a Focal Point in Debates on Democracy and Tranquility
The Cyprus Forum 2025, an event aimed at strengthening democracy and finding solutions to the major challenges of our time, is set to take place in Nicosia from 1st to 3rd October 2025. Organised by Oxygen for Democracy, the conference will enjoy the support and patronage of European Union institutions, international organisations, and key stakeholders across Cypriot society.
The event will be held at the Old Nicosia Town Hall and the historic Ledra Palace Hotel, offering a blend of modern and traditional settings for discussions and collaborations.
The Cyprus Forum 2025 promises to be a diverse gathering, attracting politicians, academics, business leaders, and civil society representatives from around the world. Distinguished participants include Michalis Argyrou, Irene Piki, Yiannis Panayiotou, Giorgos Papanastasiou, Nikodimos Damianou, and Nicholas Ioannides, among others. European Commissioners and senior EU officials are also expected to attend, increasing the Forum's international profile.
The programme consists of over 50 sessions, panel discussions, and side events, with keynote speeches from the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou.
The discussions at the Cyprus Forum 2025 will focus on topics like democratic resilience, energy transition, Cyprus' European trajectory, anti-corruption efforts, and global geopolitical dynamics. The event will serve as a platform for public dialogue, focusing on issues impacting Cyprus, Europe, and the region.
