In a thrilling turn of events during the 11th stage of the 2025 Tour de France, defending champion Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) was involved in a high-speed crash. The incident occurred roughly four kilometers from the finish of the 156.8km stage into Toulouse.

Pogačar's front wheel was taken out by fellow rider Tobias Johannessen (Uno-X Mobility), causing him to slide across the pavement towards the left side of the road. Despite the impact, Pogačar managed to reconnect with the chase group, seven seconds behind Healy, Vingegaard, and Evenepoel before reaching the finish line in Toulouse.

Dr. Adrian Rotunno, Medical Director, confirmed that Pogačar is medically cleared to continue racing. Although he sustained abrasions on his left side and torn shorts, no fractures or concussion were detected following a medical examination. Pogačar's handlebars and brake lever were bent inward due to the crash, but he received assistance from neutral service to get his chain back on his bike.

Despite the setback, Pogačar did not lose time in the overall classification and remains in second place overall at 29 seconds behind Healy as the race heads into stage 12 to Hautacam.

Meanwhile, Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno-X Mobility) claimed victory in stage 11, marking his first Tour de France win.
