Cycling Event RAGBRAI Set for Lamont, Dundee, and Edgewood Towns

On July 24, 2021, RAGBRAI made its way through northeast Iowa, with several towns offering services and activities for participants.

Edgewood

Edgewood, one of the overnight stops, welcomed riders with open arms. Local organizations set up food and beverage vendors, music performances, and rest areas for the weary cyclists. Many businesses and churches opened their doors to provide refreshments, restrooms, and shaded resting spots.

Dundee

Dundee, a smaller town on the route, offered a welcoming rest stop with water stations, portable toilets, and snack stands. Community groups often hosted small food booths to support riders, while riders could experience the small-town charm and local hospitality during a short break.

Lamont

Lamont served as a rest stop with hydration points and basic amenities for cyclists. The town's volunteers often coordinated local entertainment or a vendor area for concessions. It was a good place for riders to relax and refuel before continuing their journey.

Thousands of riders made an overnight stop in Oelwein the night before. For those passing through on July 24, Edgewood will have food vendors and drink options for riders and visitors. The Edgewood Fire Department will be helping during RAGBRAI's stop in Edgewood.

In Dundee, riders could find water and basic amenities, with several food trucks coming to the community. A photo of the RAGBRAI Inspection Pre-Ride in Dundee has been released by RAGBRAI. Maps are available for the RAGBRAI stops in Dundee and Edgewood.

Lamont will offer food, drinks, massage/stretch therapy, and DJ entertainment during RAGBRAI. For those seeking more information, the official RAGBRAI route guide or local community announcements from 2021 would have the most detailed information.

RAGBRAI started on July 19th in Orange City and will be in northeast Iowa today and Saturday.
