Customs Investigation Results in €9,000 Fine for Aschaffenburg Eatery, Securing Final Conviction
The Financial Control Black Work (FKS) of the Main Customs Office in Schweinfurt has successfully concluded three cases of illegal employment. The restaurant owner, a 32-year-old, was found guilty in Aschaffenburg Local Court for aiding and abetting illegal residence.
The FKS, a department that conducts checks on persons, business records, and investigates criminal and administrative offenses related to black work and illegal employment, initiated the cases. Their scope of work includes preventive tasks, as well as complex forms of abuse of social benefits and illegal employment.
Investigations revealed that the restaurant owner had employed three Georgian women without the necessary residence permits for employment over a period of three years. The Georgian women had entered the country with forged Slovak passports.
The successful work of the customs officers led to the conviction of the restaurant owner. The court case was handled in Aschaffenburg, with the local court fining the restaurant owner €9,000.
