Currently underway is the event referred to as Competition #28, taking place in Nintendo World Championships, specifically the NES Edition.

Get ready, Nintendo fans! The highly anticipated Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Competition #28 is now live on Nintendo Switch Online, and it's time to showcase your gaming skills. This exciting event will run until 1/27 at 12:59 a.m. PT, giving you plenty of time to compete.

In this competition, players can test their mettle against others in a series of challenging moments from 13 classic NES games. The games included are:

  1. Loose Change (Super Mario Bros™)
  2. Power Grab: Bomb (Metroid™)
  3. One on 1-1 (Super Mario Bros™)
  4. Eggplant Harm (Kid Icarus™)
  5. Condor Conqueror (Ice Climber™)

Participants can compete online via their Nintendo Switch, with scores or times submitted and ranked on a global leaderboard. To join the fun, you'll need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account. Please note that additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode (sold separately).
