This exciting event, which runs until 4th April at 1:59 a.m. PT, invites players to test their speedrunning skills to the limit and aim to improve their personal bests.

To join the competition, players must be Nintendo Switch Online members, and they can sign up from today until the competition ends. Internet access is required for online features, and the competition takes place within the Nintendo World Championships: NESTM Edition game.

More than 150 challenging moments from 13 classic NESTM games are available in the game, and for Competition #39, players will face five unique challenges: Run for Your Money (Super Mario BrosTM), Octorok Onslaught (The Legend of ZeldaTM), Meta-Knights Strike (Kirby's AdventureTM), Cliff Jumping (Zelda II: The Adventure of LinkTM), and Curtain Call: Roy (Super Mario Bros. 3TM).

Players can compete against others worldwide, and their placement in the competition can be checked against other players in their birth year. Additionally, the top runs for each challenge and overall results will be available after the competition ends.

Replays of the top runs for each challenge can also be watched, providing valuable tips for improving personal times in the competition. It's worth noting that additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode (sold separately).

Terms apply for Nintendo Switch Online membership, which auto-renews after the initial term unless cancelled. To participate, players will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and a Nintendo Account.

For those looking to challenge their friends locally, the game also offers multiplayer mode. So, gather your friends and get ready to compete!
