Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Returns on Nintendo Switch Online
Nintendo fans, get ready to test your skills in the latest edition of the Nintendo World Championships! This time, the competition is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members. The event, called Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, features challenges from more than 150 moments across 13 classic NES games.
The event runs from the current date until 4/21 at 1:59 a.m. PT. Participants can compete against others online, challenge friends locally, or improve their personal bests. The competition includes five challenges: Power Grab (Metroid™), Cool It (Excitebike™), Hit the Bricks (Super Mario Bros™), 1-1 of a Kind (Super Mario Bros. 3™), and Whale of a Time (Super Mario Bros. 2™).
To participate, you'll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account for online features. Internet access is required for online play. Additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode, which are sold separately.
Replays of top runs for each challenge from last week's competition are available to watch, providing insights to improve personal times. Players can check their overall placement and birth year rankings in last week's competition.
