Curfews are not ruled out in Schleswig-Holstein

In a recent press conference, Daniel Günther, Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein, addressed the growing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite not mentioning the imposition of curfews or the initial vaccine doses for his state, Günther expressed his regret over the low number of COVID-19 vaccine doses initially available.

Günther emphasized the importance of individuals limiting contact with non-household members, particularly during the upcoming Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations. He also highlighted the need for sharp measures to be taken and consistently implemented to curb the spread of the virus.

The Minister President expressed hope that the small number of COVID-19 vaccine doses is not the final word, and he welcomed the news of the vaccine being approved earlier than planned. This development was indeed positive for Günther, as it indicates a potential increase in COVID-19 vaccine doses in the near future.

In fact, Günther expects a significant increase in COVID-19 vaccine doses in January, which will allow vaccinations for people at high risk due to age or pre-existing conditions to begin before the end of the year in Schleswig-Holstein. Out of the 29 vaccination centers planned for the state, 15 are already prepared to start operations from January.

However, the name of the administrator of the vaccination center in Schleswig-Holstein, who will begin only from January, remains undisclosed in the available search results.

Despite the challenges, Günther remains optimistic about the situation. He has already taken and continues to implement measures to combat the pandemic in Schleswig-Holstein. With the COVID-19 vaccine rollout on the horizon, there is hope for a brighter future in the fight against COVID-19.
