Cultural Extravaganza in Ulm and Neu-Ulm: A Boost in Cultural Offerings This Year

The Culture Night Ulm/Neu-Ulm is set to return for its 25th anniversary, offering an extensive programme of cultural activities for all age groups. Organiser Christian Pfeifer describes the event as "a very lively thing", while the Cultural Mayor of Ulm, Iris Mann, refers to it as "a beautiful night".

The event, taking place on the coming Saturday, will feature over 113 different locations participating, making it a vibrant celebration of culture in the region. This year marks a record offer for the event, with a programme nearly 60 pages long.

For the younger visitors, the children's programme kicks off at 3 pm and lasts for three hours. It promises a variety of free activities, including playing, dressing up, getting faces painted, crafting, solving puzzles, and creating with soap bubbles or paint. The studio Ulm will also open its doors to children and young people, offering them the opportunity to step into the role of radio professionals and read the news themselves. Brave visitors can even stand in front of the camera and read the news under the spotlight in the studio Ulm.

As the day progresses, the studio Ulm will transform into a stage for musical performances. From 6 pm to 10 pm, choirs, a cappella groups, and bands such as Saenger Eintracht Sontheim, Feinklang Ehingen, HappyVoices from Ingstetten, St. Georg Chorknaben from Ulm, and Jammersons from Ulm will take to the stage.

In addition to these performances, the studio Ulm will host a special event featuring six diverse artists from various art and small art fields. The highlight of the evening will be a hybrid premiere featuring Eleni Poulou and Hilary Jeffery. This event includes experimental duos presenting four live premieres with audio film pieces created in real time and will be broadcast live by Radio free FM from 20 to 23 hours.

The organisers are expecting a large turnout, and the weather forecast for Saturday looks excellent. So, come along and join in the celebrations of this lively and beautiful cultural event.
