"Cultural Accolade in Our Organization Granted to Sven Bach from Zirndorf: He is the proud recipient of the district medal for his active involvement in our cultural endeavors"
Sebastian Bach Honoured with Bavarian Culture Prize and District Medal
Sebastian Bach, a native of Nuremberg and a resident of Zirndorf, has been recognised for his significant contributions to the district of Fürth. The district administrator, Bernd Obst, presented Bach with the Bavarian Culture Prize and the district medal in a ceremony preceding the latest district council meeting.
Bach, a culture author, folk musician, and dialect cabaret artist, is renowned for his humorous works deeply rooted in Franconian culture. His performances, which often include Franconian poems, stories, and songs, are a display of stories and anecdotes, frequently from his home region. Bach's custom-made squeeze box, adorned with the Franconian coat of arms, is a testament to his dedication to preserving and celebrating his cultural heritage.
The district medal was awarded to Bach in recognition of his long-standing cultural commitment, his merits for the Franconian dialect, and folk music. Bach's social commitment is also noteworthy. He has been conducting singing lessons to preserve Franconian folk songs for children and adults, and has supported various social projects.
Bach, who has published seven dialect books and two children's books that reflect the Franconian dialect, has gained a wide fan base through his appearances on BR programs during Fasching in Franconia, specifically in "Narrische Weinprobe" and "Franken Helau". Prior to being honoured with the district medal of the Fürth district, Bach received awards from the German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz).
In addition to the district medal, Bach was also awarded the honorary badge of the Bavarian Minister President. Bach expressed gratitude towards district administrator Bernd Obst, the district council members, and the people who have contributed to his success over the years. The title of one of Bach's written songs, "Vergelt's Gott, Dankschee sooch i!", seems particularly fitting at this point. Bach is pleased about the award and the appreciative words, and he feels a sense of pride.
The district medal has been awarded since 1993 to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the district. Bach's artistic activities and cultural commitment have been recognised for their long-standing impact in the district of Fürth. The ceremony was a celebration of Bach's dedication to preserving and promoting Franconian culture, and a testament to the appreciation he has earned from his community.
