CTR Food Hall Opens Thursday With 11 Global Dining Gems

A new food hall is set to open its doors in the city this Thursday. The CTR food hall will bring together 11 different dining options, each offering a unique take on global and local flavours. Visitors can expect everything from Southern fried chicken to handmade Italian pasta under one roof. Among the standout names is Southern Belle Chicken Co., led by Michelin-recognized chef Joey Ward. The stall will serve Southern-style chicken dishes with a modern twist. Meanwhile, Flora d’Italia, headed by Michelin-star chef Stephen Ferdinand, will focus on classic Italian fare, including house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas.

The Sparrow Group will bring bold Szechuan-inspired Chinese dishes, known for their signature heat and spice. For seafood lovers, Fuzzy’s will offer fresh options like lobster rolls and ceviches. Latin flavours will also feature prominently, with La Tropical serving Puerto Rican, Cuban, and broader Latin American cuisine.

Patty and Frank’s, a burger and hot dog concept, is a collaboration between restaurateur Robert Montwaid and chef Andrew Zimmern. Taco enthusiasts can head to Mimi Taqueria for street-style Mexican food, complete with house-made salsas. Dessert Box, another venture by Ferdinand, will round off the experience with handcrafted sweets and freshly baked breads. Morelli’s Ice Cream will also join the lineup, offering small-batch ice cream with inventive, signature flavours.

The CTR food hall will officially welcome the public on Thursday. With 11 distinct vendors, it aims to provide a diverse range of dining choices in one location. The mix of established chefs and creative concepts suggests a lively addition to the local food scene.
