Crystal Palace fans are eagerly anticipating the potential inclusion of Eberechi Eze in their European journey, as the midfielder's future at Selhurst Park appears to be coming to an end.

Arsenal fans believe an upgrade in the left-wing position is necessary to win titles, not just challenge for them, and Eze has been a target for the Gunners. The £60m guaranteed fee plus £7.5-10m in add-ons that Arsenal have agreed to pay Crystal Palace for Eze's services surpasses a prior bid from Tottenham Hotspur [1][2][5].

Eze, who has spent five impressive seasons at Selhurst Park, still wanted to say his goodbyes to Palace fans but is expected to complete his medical with Arsenal imminently. The expiration of his £68m release clause last week did not block the transfer, as Arsenal negotiated a separate over-clause deal with Crystal Palace [2].

Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace's head coach, confirmed Eze pulled out of a Conference League match and will not feature again for the club, signalling an imminent move to Arsenal [1]. The Arsenal transfer has also hijacked Tottenham's previously close pursuit, made urgent by Arsenal’s need after Kai Havertz’s injury [2][4].

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are gearing up for their first-ever participation in European competition this season, a result of their FA Cup heroics over Manchester City. The club will face Liverpool in the FA Community Shield on Sunday, August 10. Crystal Palace's season opener will be away at Chelsea a week later.

In a positive note for Palace supporters, Eberechi Eze is set to play in the FA Community Shield according to Oliver Glasner. However, Eze's departure may not be the only change for Crystal Palace, as the club may still consider offers for him unless they receive a bid they deem suitable [1].
