Cruzeiro could potentially host matches in Juiz de Fora as per Pedrinho's assertion in 2026.

Cruzeiro football club's SAF owner, businessman Pedro Lourenço, recently floated the idea of hosting games in Juiz de Fora, a city approximately 266 km from Belo Horizonte, during a visit there on Tuesday, 24th.

Pedrinho paid a visit to a supermarket chain branch owned by Supermercados BH, also owned by Pedro Lourenço. During the event, he expressed his belief in bringing Cruzeiro games to the city's municipal stadium, Radialista Mário Heleno.

"We got the itch to play here in Juiz de Fora for the local fans. We've been brainstorming to make it happen," stated Pedrinho in an interview with Tribuna de Minas, a local newspaper from Juiz de Fora.

Although he acknowledged consulting Juiz de Fora's city hall, Pedro Lourenço said that he would evaluate the conditions that might enable Cruzeiro to play in the Campeonato Mineiro. The entrepreneur added that he is keeping an eye on other stadiums in various Minas Gerais cities to connect more closely with the club's interior fans.

"We're also checking out Ipatinga, Uberlândia, and Varginha. We want to bring some games here and have fans more accessible to the club. That's my dream, and I've been discussing it with our coach to ease our grip on Mineirão and head towards the interior, which will be crucial for our brand," says Lourenço.

👊 reinforcements incoming! 👊

Another topic of discussion during Pedrinho's visit to Juiz de Fora is igniting enthusiasm among Cruzeiro fans: reinforcements. With the mid-year transfer window approaching, anticipation is building for announcements of new players at Cruzeiro. Pedro Lourenço refrained from speaking about ongoing negotiations but indicated that Coach Leonardo Jardim has expressed a desire to reinforce specific positions.

"Leonardo Jardim wants another center-back and two wingers, but these will be strategic signings. We've got a stellar squad, we're with a remarkable group," he explained.
