Crowd urges togetherness at the enthronement ceremony of Ajugbonjagun, Orokere Amuro's new ruler, as declared by Fanwo

In a significant display of unity and support, the Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kogi State, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order in the community during the Coronation ceremony of the Ajugbonjagun of Orokere Amuro, Oba Michael Arogbonlo.

The event, which took place on September 7, 2025, was marked by fanfare and a showcase of cultural heritage. Fanwo urged Oba Arogbonlo and the Orokere people to continue supporting the administration and Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressing confidence in their ability to usher in a new era of development.

Fanwo further advised the new ruler to listen to all counsels but filter out the bad, and to prioritize the development of the community. He stated that peace and unity are non-negotiable for any society to develop.

The Alamuro of Amuro, His Royal Majesty Engr Alfred Ayedogbon, also admonished Oba Arogbonlo to lead with the fear of God and loyalty to the Government of Kogi State.

Notable attendees at the event included Hon. David Sunday Moses, Hon. Charles Omoyele, Hon. Sunday Ishola, Hon. Sunday Paul, Hon. Obasun Samuel, Hon. Jacob Abraham, HonSogo Williams, Hon. Oladele, Hon. Bola Omoniwa, Hon. Femi Iroja, Hon. Dele Adekolade, and other community and political leaders.

Fanwo expressed his confidence in Oba Arogbonlo's capacity to ensure a new era of development in the community. He urged the people to support Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to continue his success.

The Coronation ceremony was a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the Orokere people and a call for unity towards community transformation and development.
