In numerous Italian cities, including Savona, a national mobilization was held to express opposition to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The rally in Savona was organized by CGIL Savona and the Savona Peace Table.

Approximately 350 people gathered in Piazza del Brandale, with the number growing to reach a thousand in Piazza Sisto IV. The rally aimed to strongly condemn what organizers described as a "daily slaughter and an authentic genocide" occurring in Gaza.

The Israeli army is accused of perpetrating these atrocities, with the Israeli government also facing criticism for pursuing a "final solution" with the complicity of the United States. The rally in Savona was not just a local event; it was part of a larger international solidarity movement.

The Global Sumud Flotilla, a coalition of activists and organizations, aims to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza by sea, challenging the blockade imposed on the region. Recognition of the State of Palestine and an end to illegal occupations were among the demands reiterated during the event.

The rally in Savona also aimed to criticize the actions of the United States and the silence of European governments, including the Italian one, regarding the situation in Gaza. European governments, including Italy, are accused of maintaining a "guilty" silence regarding the ongoing conflict.

The leading organizers of the international solidarity march in Italy for the people of Gaza include various Italian human rights and pro-Palestinian groups. Solidarity was expressed to the humanitarian mission of the Global Sumud Flotilla during the event in Savona. International sanctions against Israel were also called for during the rally, along with demands for an immediate halt to the massacre in Gaza and arms sales to Israel.

The rally in Savona served as a powerful reminder of the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the international community's role in bringing about a peaceful resolution. The event underscored the importance of solidarity and the need for action in the face of humanitarian crises.
