Donald Trump's second state visit to the UK is set to be met with protests, as activists and demonstrators voice their opposition to the former US President's policies on immigration, climate change, and foreign affairs.

The demonstrations, scheduled for Wednesday, are expected to attract thousands of participants. They will take place in London, separate from the protests that occurred near Windsor Castle on Tuesday, ahead of the state visit.

On Tuesday, protesters gathered outside Windsor Castle, criticising the UK government's decision to honour Trump, who they accuse of violating human rights in the US and worldwide. The protests took place near Windsor Parish Church, close to the castle gates. Four arrests were made related to malicious messaging, as some protesters projected photos of Trump with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on the castle walls.

Despite these protests, Trump is set to meet the King and Queen during his visit, which begins on Tuesday. He will also attend a state banquet at Windsor Castle.

The London protests are not located at Windsor Castle or Windsor Parish Church, but are happening a day after Trump's state visit began. Organisers expect the London protests to also criticise the UK government for welcoming Trump.

The three-day trip marks Trump's second state visit to the UK. Beyond the protests, the visit is likely to be filled with diplomatic meetings and events. However, the voices of opposition will undoubtedly be heard, as activists continue to demonstrate their disapproval of Trump's policies.
