Quick on his feet, Akhmetzhanov managed to locate the damaged section and, despite the danger, moved under fire to restore communication. Regrettably, the cable was beyond repair, but Akhmetzhanov, with tremendous resilience, swiftly laid a new field cable and restored communication - saving the day for his comrades.
