Ben Foster Slams "Individual-Focused" Alejandro Garnacho
Criticizes Alejandro Garnacho's Hairstyle: Ex-Man Utd Player Expresses Disappointment, Suggests Transfer of Alleged Sulky Talent
Ex-Manchester United star Ben Foster has taken aim at 20-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho's "sulking" attitude and hairstyle, urging United to offload him this summer.
Garnacho, who's been with United since 2020, might have played his last game for the Red Devils following reported requests from Ruben Amorim for him to find a new club. Despite his promising start, Garnacho hasn't managed to impress Amorim, despite initial hopes of him being the future of the club.
In an altercation with a fan after a disappointing post-season tour of East Asia, Garnacho showed signs of a contentious attitude. With interests from top clubs such as Chelsea and Napoli, the writing may be on the wall for the Argentinian winger.
United have already made moves to replace Garnacho with a £62.5m purchase of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and the likely signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford this month.
Former United goalie Foster has supported Amorim's decision to axe Garnacho, criticizing his lack of team spirit. In an interview with talkSPORT, Foster stated that Garnacho is not a team player.
Foster pointed out Garnacho's sulking behavior after the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham and his apparent concern for his hair's appearance over the team's well-being, referring to Garnacho's freshly trimmed, dyed blonde hair.
In contrast, Foster highlighted the hardworking team spirit of Brennan Johnson, praising his unkempt appearance in interviews after matches. Johnson's focus on teamwork, according to Foster, is a vibe that he feels is lacking in Garnacho and a few other players at United.

Foster wants the team to focus on hardworking, honest players who will put the team ahead of individual concerns. With Garnacho's future uncertain, this might mean a new chapter for both the player and Man Utd.
