Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Announce Engagement
Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned footballer, and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have taken their relationship to the next level. On August 11, 2025, they announced their engagement via an Instagram post from their home in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Rodriguez, a 31-year-old model and businesswoman, met Ronaldo in 2016 when she worked at a Gucci store in Madrid. The couple has since been inseparable and shares two daughters together. Rodriguez has also helped to raise Ronaldo's other three children.
The Instagram post, which showcases a huge ring on Rodriguez's finger, was accompanied by a heartfelt caption in Spanish that translates to "Yes, I do." The caption also reads "In this and in all my lives."
Ronaldo currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The wedding date has not yet been officially set, but media reports suggest the ceremony might take place after July 19, 2026. Possible locations for the wedding include Portugal, Ronaldo’s homeland, Riyadh, Spain (where they met), or Madeira in Portugal. The couple's wedding preparations are ongoing, with details being arranged behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, the couple experienced a tragic loss in 2022 when one of their newborn twins, a boy, passed away. Despite this heartbreaking event, the couple continues to move forward with their lives and their plans for the future.
The engagement of Ronaldo and Rodriguez is a significant moment in the world of football, as well as in the lives of their fans and family. Congratulations to the happy couple on this exciting new chapter in their lives!
