After a tense pause, the cricket world is all set to roar back to life as both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) are scheduling their comeback for May 17, 2025! Following a ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan, these much-anticipated cricket tournaments are ready to pick up where they left off.
IPL's Second Inning
The IPL's second leg will kick off on May 17 with Royal Challengers Bengaluru locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders. Amidst the suspense, the final has been pushed back to June 3, 2025. The uncertainty remains about the return of the foreign players and coaches who had left during the suspension. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and IPL franchises have been working tirelessly to persuade the cricket boards of the foreign players to facilitate their return.

The PSL, too, is gearing up to resume on the very same day, May 17, with Peshawar Zalmi squaring off against Karachi Kings at Rawalpindi. The final for the PSL is set for May 25, 2025, at the Gaddafi Stadium. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to clarify the return status of the 37 foreign players who left during the suspension.
