cricket star Rohit Sharma exchanges his previous Urus model for a brand new Lamborghini Urus SE.

The Lamborghini Urus SE is a 2025 luxury super SUV that boasts a re-engineered 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine combined with a 192 PS electric motor, delivering a total output of 800 PS (approximately 789 hp) and 950 Nm torque. This powerful vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph).

One of the unique features of the Urus SE is its hybrid system, which allows for a pure electric driving range of up to 60 km (approx. 37 miles European, ~21 miles estimated EPA), powered by a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that charges fully in about 4.2 hours via 7 kW AC. The Urus SE comes equipped with multiple driving modes, including EV, Hybrid, Recharge, Sport, Corsa, and Off-Road, as well as enhancements like a longitudinal electric torque vectoring system and a new electronic limited-slip rear differential.

The exterior design of the Urus SE has been restyled, featuring slimmer headlamps with LED Matrix technology, a revised grille and front bumper, and restyled LED taillights. The vehicle also features new 23” Galanthus alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires. Inside, the Urus SE has Black and Arancio leather upholstery with brushed silver accents.

Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricketer, has recently purchased a new Urus SE. The number 3015 on his Lamborghini Urus SE represents the birth dates of his children and adds up to '45', his jersey number. The vehicle also bears a personalised number plate - 3015.

Compared to other luxury SUVs, the Urus SE stands out as a plug-in hybrid SUV combining high power with an electric-only range and off-road capabilities, rare among performance SUVs. The Aston Martin DB12 focuses more on luxury grand touring with a strong V8 but lacks hybrid features or SUV capability. The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is a niche, off-road capable variant of the Huracan supercar, not an SUV, with no hybrid power. The McLaren 720S is a lightweight hybrid super sports coupe optimized for track and road speed, very different from an SUV. The Urus Performante was a gas-powered performance-focused version of the Urus but has been discontinued, making the Urus SE the current flagship Lamborghini SUV with hybrid tech.

In summary, the 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE represents a unique blend of Lamborghini's SUV presence with electrification, superior power, modern tech, and off-road versatility, distinguishing it considerably from other contemporary luxury sports cars and SUVs.
